Hello! I'm Maria, a self-taught pyrography artist living in North Carolina. I started Maple & Fern Co. with the vision to combine the spirit of nature with my passion to create. By infusing that feeling into every piece I design, my hope is that my art brings warmth and light into your home.

I love to create nature-based pieces, recently focusing much of my work on botanicals and florals. Being out in nature is where I feel most centered and connected with myself, and I strive to craft artwork that reflects that same energy.

Hi! I'm Maria, the artist behind MKRts&Crafts. The name comes from a play on my initials, MKR, and since I've always been artsy and crafty, it worked out pretty sweetly to make the perfect business name, "MK Arts and Crafts". I am a pyrography artist, painter and novice wood worker bringing unique one of a kind sentimental and home décor items to my customers.

What started out as a "side hustle" hobby has quickly turned into a fast-growing small business thanks to the amazing support of loyal followers, both near and far.

My commitment to quality products, exceptional services and incomparable customer care is what keeps my community of customers coming back again and again. I never stop improving my skills, and am continuing to expand my offerings based on how I can best serve not only the South Jersey area, but world wide as well.

Mina is a nature-lover (except for the bugs). She enjoys hiking and exploring new places where every landscape is more beautiful than the last.

She initiated her Pyrography work in 2020 thanks to the encouragement of her hubby Ric. Mina has painted in the past using oil paints, crayons, water color and graphite, leading to wood burning which has been a relaxing and wonderful experience.

My journey began in 2020 with meditative art, which quickly bloomed into a craving for more creative expression through different types of mediums, such as acrylics, watercolor, inks, and now pyrography. Wood burning has become my canvas of unexpected surprises! I find it satisfies my need to explore and experiment with my potential. While much of my art incorporates patterns associated with the Zentangle™ method, I do enjoy botanicals and lettering.

My journey started several years ago, when I took a “Burning with Fire” course…I fell in love! I have never considered myself as having artistic ability, but when I burn, I’m creative and adventurous. It goes to show you, that sometimes you have to go outside of your comfort zone to find what will set your soul on fire (no pun intended). I am always looking to improve and many times the finished product surprises me, but the reactions to my work (some have cried ) makes my heart so happy. To bring out such emotions is powerful.

I started wood burning as a hobby with some girl friends in 2018 . Exploring different nibs and woods and burning plaques for family and friends , I learnt a lot. A small trunk show of my work gave in immense confidence . This pushed to start ReSaArtHouseand work commercially . Today, I have burned over 120 plaques , quirky and custom home decor , portraits of celebrities and others , combo of resin and wood burning . And as the meaning of ReSa is journey ..the journey of wood burning continues ..

Hello! I'm Shanique the face behind Plaid & Peaches. I grew up around creative entrepreneurs and always found myself drawn to various art forms.

Woodburning continues to teach me the art of slowing down and leads as another form of art therapy. I love to create functional home decor art. Bringing natural elements of nature into your home through the texture of the wood and the wood burn designs!

wood burning artist

Hi there! I am Tacie Jensen the artist behind Red Jensen Designs. I have had my fingers on an art form, in one kind or another, for most of my life.

Wood burning is my art therapy! I was a full time working wife and mom to three boys. It was all too much and I ended up quitting my job. I found wood burning again and it was just what I needed. Since then I have gone full force and loved it!

My style is more vintage and nostalgic, bringing back art that is long forgotten. I love to use reclaimed wood that I find from old teak patio furniture, oak wine barrels and cedar fencing to create my unique art pieces.

Having grown up in both the Philippines and the United States I have had many artistic influences. You can see this in my artwork inspired by the Philippines, my Irish heritage, and American culture. Growing up, dreaming of being a veterinarian, I developed a passion for animals so I am always looking for ways to incorporate the cute and quirky critters into my pieces. In addition to pyrography I am passionate about fibrecrafts (tatting, crocheting, sewing), writing (calligraphy, brush lettering), and other woodcrafts. When not crafting I spend time with my husband and sons around Charlotte (walking the greenways, antiquing, discovering new foods), reading, and watching movies. My goals are to develop BZ FurFur to be a successful business making and selling unique gifts for people around Charlotte and around the world.
